With a warning of caution from her good friend Washington, she heads out to reclaim what was lost to the Red Legion. But her reckless nature and stubborn attitude put her trapped under watch back on the farm. It's there she really starts getting to know her Vanguard, Cayde-6. They boil a plan, and go for an ass-kicking, Ghaul-fighting, Traveler-sized escape. But maybe they still have a few bumps to smooth out, because looking at the list of things to do to escape, falling in love with one another, was definitely not part it.

Everything seems fine now that Aichi had been found alive by Kai and company. However as things seem to be nearing perfection, something happens causing fear and concern to fill the two lovers. Will everything be resolved so that Kai and Aichi can finally be together peacefully? Or will sickness overcome their love and steal away their future together so soon after their hope had returned? Aichi Sendou, seems overly cheerful yet his friends don't think he's telling the truth.
