This fanfic I had in mind ever since I've heard of Varian from Tangled the Series and listened to the song "Ready as I'll Ever be". I thought it would be great to make an oc for this show and with a bit of mythical science and powers, i created something amazing! And the obvious cliche of shipping that oc with Varian. Anyways, enjoy it!

Rumored to be the gateway to Knowledge eternal left by the great alchemist Lord Demanitus, armed with this; Varian journeys beyond his beloved home of Corona to try his might at the Seven Trials to answer his long-time questions, along the way he meets brand new friends who joins alongside him: Excitable pyro expert Yong, Passionate and encouraging chronicler Clio, Street-smart and sneaky alchemist Hugo, and the confident and determined navigator Princess Nuru. About a year had passed since the battle with Zhan Tiri and her defeat. Cassandra was still out exploring the world in search of her destiny, but she did send letters back periodically telling everyone of her journey. Varian was flourishing in his position as the royal engineer of Corona. Rapunzel and Eugene had finally gotten married. Things were about as perfect as they could be. That is, until a young girl moves to the kingdom from Equis in hopes of making a name for herself. Aria had always yearned to be a baker and confectioner just like her father. But being the middle child she was looked over in favor of her younger brother. Her only relative living in Corona, her uncle Monty, extended an invitation for her to learn under his guidance. Having no children of his own, he thought that he could pass his shop on to the young girl when the time came. Eager to learn and prove her worth in her craft, Aria leaves her family behind. Uncle Monty had written to her detailing all that he'd experienced living in Corona. She was excited and thought of herself as prepared for the new chapter she was starting in her life. Little did Aria know, Uncle Monty had left out some rather crucial details. Life in Corona, like its people, was anything but ordinary. She was going to be finding that out the hard way.

After Cassandra's betrayal and when Rapunzel defeated the Saporians with the help of the newly reformed Varian, things in Corona have been getting exciting ever since twin sisters, Aria and Iris, showed up. Varian's still struggling to forgive himself for what he did.. First with attacking the royal family and Corona, then coming back with the Saporians and taking over the kingdom.. Sure, he ended up joining Rapunzel in stopping them, and Rapunzel even helped him free his father from the amber.. But that still doesn't change the past or justify his previous actions. Besides, the people of Corona don't seem to want to forgive Varian.. Why should Varian even try to forgive himself? But that's when the strange and elusive-but also beautiful-Loretta whirls (literally) into his life.. And for Varian, things take a dramatic turn. As these two unlikely characters become friends, one has to wonder: What adventures await them? Who will they meet along the way? What paths will they cross? What decisions will they make? And.. most importantly..
