This isn't you're average werewolf story. Vasilisa is they key element in a war that been going on for hundreds of years. She doesn't know her parents and her only companions are two wolves, pan, and Luca her guardian. She's plagued by nightmares of Baba Yaga the subject of scary stories she was told as a child...but they are just stories right? What happens when she is thrust into this world unknowingly? She has an agenda that may make or break her. Choose between two mates that are both destined for her to decide between Pick a side in a war, lets hope its not the wrong one Embrace her powers drink as many frappes as possible? There is only one problem: Rose is in prison. She was accused of murdering the Queen.

For as long as Laurel has known it, Bloom Springs, Alabama has been an ordinary town. Women gossip and sip mint juleps on their porches in the evenings, men nod respectfully to each other in the streets, and everybody goes to church on Sundays. Things seem perfect. Of course, nothing remains perfect for long. Suddenly, things begin going wrong for poor Laurel, and the cherry on top is that she must go see the woman Bloom Springs prefers to pretend doesn't exist: Widow Henrietta, who is said to kidnap children and set them to roast while she knits in her rocking chair, the children's screams providing the soundtrack to her needlework. Heartwarming and engaging, Winter Elliott's Enchanting will let you know that everything and everyone has wonder in them, you just have to look past their exterior.

Rose believes Dimitri's hurtful words in the church. She couldn't stay and guard Lissa alongside him, so she takes off. Five and a half years later, Lissa has found Rose and sends her a Royal Summons. Vasilisa is the last Dragomir, and she's also the queen. This makes her a prime target for the Strigoi. What happens when yet another challenge faces them?

What if Rose was able to save Dimitri before he was turned into a Strigoi? Well, I've thought about that. There are obviously two endings that would go with this twist. I chose the one that doesn't end with rainbows and hearts. It's the day after the attack and Dimitri has bad news for Rose. He's leaving her for Tasha Ozera. Rose can't help but be depressed by this. Everyone's noticed that she's changed, but only a few know the real reason. But, when Lissa has an idea, there's another problem. One including Dimitri. But, he left. Rose doesn't think he's worth her time. So, who will she lean on?

This book is my version of what happened after Last Sacrifice. The original characters and parts of the story from Vampire Academy belong to Richelle Mead, author of the Vampire Academy series. After Vasilisa Dragomir is crowned queen, there are a lot of things that happen. Attacks, assassinations--and to top it all off there's also Jill, her illegitimate sister. Vasilisa also needs to decide whether to go off to Lehigh University to finish her studies or just stay at Court. Her decision becomes harder when something happens with Rose--something big. The thousand-year-old prophecy is revealed by Ekaterina, a former queen, and Rose must be protected--perhaps even more than the Moroi Queen herself.
