Love was supposed to be a precious thing, not that I'd ever had that experience. Not many could see past my financial worth in comparison to what my heart held - some would say that was worth so much more, but who could tell when anything that connected me to that life had been cut away? Maybe it was for the best, I mean- I did enjoy this one more...it wasn't everyday someone got chosen to be the housekeeper of the party tat saved the kingdom from corruption. And there was pleasure in the company too...probably more than there should've been

***SPOILERS THROUGH EPISODE 97*** ................................................................ A misjudged distance and timing on Keyleth the Druid's part leads to her breif but real death. Revivified by Vex'ahlia, she returns to life as the party begins to return to Whitestone. This is the story of Vax'ildan coming to grips with what happened and his discussion with Keyleth shortly after her accident. Credit goes to the Critical Role cast and crew for the original characters and story arcs. This is a head cannon I thought up while watching the episode. I also do not own the cover art used. Credit to the brilliant artist who must like #Vaxleth almost as much as I do. Anyway, enjoy the story!

****SPOILERS PRE EPISODE 94***** As Vax lays down to rest for the night, Keyleth finds herself slipping into her own restful sleep. But as consciousness fades, a danger looms, guiding her unwittingly into a nightmare that she cannot wake from. Can Keyleth escape the trap her fears have created? Or will she be stranded in her own mind forever? Read to find out! This fanfic was heavily influenced by Isaac Crutchfield's ideas on the Facebook group "Critical Role Fan Club". He gets most of the credit for this. I just expanded a little. I have placed it occuring in the year break that VM took before episode 95. As such spoilers from then back are implicit in the story.
