It was a frenzied period of transition for everyone in the Boiling Isles. Belos was dead, the Day of Unity crisis was averted, the covens fell into disarray and fought amongst themselves for control of the empire, despite the Titan having chosen a successor. The Isles were teeming with new life after the conflict, courtesy of the new Empress. Under her rule, magic was no longer restricted and witches were free to pursue any types they wished. Eight years after the fall of Belos, the Owl House disappeared, its inhabitants nowhere to be found, save two. Ten years since she first set foot in the Demon Realm, Luz Noceda has settled in the city of Caja Torácica and married her longtime girlfriend, Amity Blight. They moved into the apartment above Viney's veterinary clinic together and began a new chapter in their lives founding Noceda Bounty Hunting and General Services. They don't know what became of their surrogate family, but they won't give up their search for the Owl House. Luz and Amity Noceda had thought their adventuring days were behind them, but with new career opportunities, encounters with beings from another Titan, corporate espionage, a looming confrontation with the notorious Owl Lady, and the prospect of beginning a family, they might be in for their wildest years yet.

Amity Blight works at Claire's, the accessory store with her co-workers, Boscha, and Skara, her manager being a woman named Lilith Clawthorne. Though, you only read books for fluff, this one has some angst sprinkled on top. Overworked, understaffed, working hard to reach end's meet. What happens when Luz's Old Life in the Human Realm, collides with her New Life in the Demon Realm. Set about 6 weeks after King's Tide, but was it really 6 weeks, apparently 6 Years had passed for Luz Noceda and the Inhabitants of the Demon Realm ever since the Day Of Unity, but only 6 weeks had passed in the Human Realm, something happened, no one knows how this happened but the bigger question was that one day in the Human Realm, the Portal Door appears out of nowhere, the good news is that Vee and Camila are present when it appears, but the bad news is that they were not alone when it appeared, now they all tagging along for the journey to a place that Vee swore she wouldn't return too and will all encounter a familiar person that has changed for the better.

Luz Noceda was a half human half princess from the human realm, but when her mother had to go back to Bonesborough to be the queen to her kingdom, she took her two daughters with her and her husband died on the trip there. Raine Whispers and Eda Clawthorne needed an heir for the throne so when a fourteen-year-old girl stumbles into the castle after being caught vandalizing a street corner, they decided to make her the princess.
