She has to survive her enemies and the first year. There, Saphira has to survive and bond a dragon. While making allies, instead, she makes best friends. Theya and Nina are her closest, best friends. Everything is fine until Hawk appears, her real enemy. While they hate each other, the tension is clear between them. Suddenly, Nina gets into a sticky, difficult situation, and Saphira's friendgroup and Hawk's have to go on a mission to get Nina back to safety. Saphira goes through a lot, and experiences secrets, situations, danger, love, hate. And Saphira and Hawk? In a fight? They're lethal. Around each other? They melt. And at the tender age of twelve, the second oldest Sorrengail swept her from the Vale and to her home at Basgiath. An abomination raised Sorrengail, raised along-side Violet at the wishes and bribing of Mira - Morana's one and only mother. But General Sorrengail knows something about her no one knows; the tainted blood that runs through her veins. So when Violet is forced to enter the Rider's quadrant at the age of twenty, nineteen-year-old 𝓜𝓸𝓻𝓪𝓷𝓪 𝓥𝓮𝓼𝓹𝔂𝓻 is also conscripted against her will as a means to hopefully kill her off. But the Generals and King Tauri are unaware of one crucial fact, she already has a dragon that would stop at nothing to keep her alive.

When Brennan left, I sat alone in the flickering candlelight, tracing the lines of the map with my fingertips - the same ridges and valleys the Venin now crossed unchecked. I didn't want power. I didn't want war. I wanted peace. But maybe peace wasn't something people like me got to keep. Still, Bodhi's words echoed in my mind: You scare people who like control.
