"...A person who chooses to live in a cocoanut !
Such a nut is one in a million !
But I have a brother-in-law who
lives in an
acorn"
-"Locked In" by Ingemar Gustafson
Missouri has struggled with pain. She knew it, knew it very well. She has gotten tired of the constant doctor's visits with no real reason, so she stopped going. She has gotten tired of the constant medicines that never worked, so she stopped taking them. Still, she desperately looks for treatment. What happens when Missouri stumbles upon a treehouse of four children, all with their own struggles and woes?
This story is mostly a vent story, I suppose. I struggle with chronic pain myself, despite being fourteen. This poem is also based around the beautiful poem by Ingemar Gustafson, "Locked In."
