David and Maya are siblings. He's 20, she's 7. Their next door neighbors are Jay and Beth Jameson with their kids Josh and Daniella. Josh and David grew up together and are currently studying the same thing, in the same university as well. Their sisters were also inseparable. The Jameson's are the closest thing David and Maya have to family since losing their mother because their father is no longer in the picture.
After a tragic accident, David's mind starts running in the worst way possible and he even feels like his body is working against him. He needs help. He needs hope, and it doesn't seem like he'll get it.
(This story, while completely fictional, serves as a bit of a vent for me. Having someone who you love being sick can take a toll on you, especially if you're like me and don't express your feelings very openly. This is my way of not keeping things completely bottled up inside. It's a bit all over the place but this has been in my drafts for over a year and I finally came up with an ending I liked.
Now, since some parts may hit close to home to someone who has dealt with depression or suicidal thoughts, this counts as a trigger warning, consider whether you really want to read this or not. Especially because there is one VERY strong line regarding suicide towards the end.)
