Kianna Abella has always played it safe - the quiet girl with perfect grades, a love for books, and a past she never talks about. But when she enters SEACOVET, a prestigious college for future veterinarians, she's forced to step out of her comfort zone. On her very first day, a single moment-a shared glance with a mysterious boy named Matthew-sparks something unexpected. As she navigates the chaos of college life, academic pressure, and new friendships, Kianna finds herself drawn to a world beyond her carefully built walls. But opening up means risking everything she's worked so hard to protect. Can a girl who's spent her life hiding learn to truly live? And what if the person she's starting to trust is hiding something too? Heartfelt, awkwardly funny, and quietly powerful, this is a story about healing, courage, and the unexpected connections that can change everything.

Thoughts of a freshman in vet school... P.S. Where I'm from, students join college right after class 12 i.e. there is no requirement of pre-med courses and such before joining human or vet medicine (or any 'professional course'- as we call them). Students appear for national level entrance exams after class 12 and then join the course based on merit. Hence both the aforementioned courses are five and half years long.
