A deathbed promise. A shifting wind. And an umbrella descending from the smog. Twelve-year-old Bert and ten-year-old Florence love escaping the sulfurous mud of London's East End to visit their grieving Uncle Albert in his quiet Mayfair mansion. Trapped in a permanent twilight since the passing of his beloved wife, Beatrice, Albert has forgotten the sound of laughter. But Beatrice left behind a final vow: she would not leave them to face the gray alone. When the wind suddenly shifts and a mysterious woman glides down from the dark clouds holding a parrot-headed umbrella, the children realize the sky is no longer empty. Brought together by love and a touch of the extraordinary, this peculiar guardian is about to flip Number 14 upside down-and show a grieving family that magic lives just beyond the fog. I do not own Mary Poppins, This is just a fun fanfic. Hope you enjoy.

For the past weeks he had felt like someone was watching him. Like someone or something was following him every night that he walked home from work, but for some reason the thought didn't frighten him. It was a presence he felt that didn't scare him, though it made him feel uneasy. Written by Lia B. (Original idea 2005, written 2008, partially rewritten 2023) Edited by Devika F. London, England 1888 London is struck by a ruthless killer that seemingly always vanishes from the Earth after he's hit, leaving his victims mutilated and almost unrecognisable. Mary Evelynne Littlewood, or better known as Lady Red, is an outstanding detective, able to solve every case she takes on. However, the Ripper case seems beyond her expertise. Taking a turn for the worse; lady Littlewood's innocence is doubted more and more. The Ripper is a bomb, with its fuse waiting to be lit; how many more must die before they can stop him? *notice; some places and names may be fictional due to the lack of information. I'll try to make the story as canonically correct as possible*

"The river runs, it does not wait. A silver thread in fleeting fate. Each chime that sings, a moment past. A whispered breath that will not last. "The sun will set, the moon will rise. A ceaseless waltz in endless skies. No hand may halt the turning sphere. Nor steal the hours held so dear. "But if the tide obeyed thy hand, And time itself could heed command, Would thee chase what once was bright? Or fade into the endless night?" Hi, and welcome to one of my first ever (ongoing) book. It's my first story ever to be written and to be read, so it might be a little crap and might have some weird stuff in it. The world of 'Freeze' is based on a D&D-themed background, with various races and classes, and a lot of interesting, peculiar things that happens in it. I'll upload once every 3 days, so please be patient. I hope you enjoy :)
