Hon, a 19-year-old Vietnamese, lives in a small town in Vietnam and lives in the streets like an abandoned person; he is the son of a Gman and a Vietnamese girl and was born during the Vietnam war. Hon has a picture of his father when he was on duty during the war. He was abandoned by his mother as usual for the "Amerasians" (as these children of American soldiers and Vietnamese women are called) because of the hostility of the Vietnamese population towards them and their mothers. Hon wants to find his father who lives in the United States so goes to Saigon to reach the United States from there. He arrives at L.A. where he tries to find information about his father through the photo of him that he jealously preserves. The 'amerasian' Hon receives the information that the father lives in South Dakota and decides to reach him without warning. The father has three children born born before and after Hon. Finally he meets his father who lives in a small town in a miserable way, but at first the father refuses to accept him as his son ...

Glen, a soldier for the U.S Military, tells us what it's like to be stationed in Vietnam. He also lets us in on his thoughts, his fears, and his memories. Most Importantly, the memories of his love back home in Galveston. After a tragic accident just days before his time to go home, Glen is worried, will she still love him? Or, is she even waiting for him there in Galveston? This story is loosely based upon the song performed by Glen Campbell titled, just as this story, "Galveston".

this story is where i would put two tanks together and compare then and see who would win in an actual battle of course there are rules but hopefully it's not to strict for you guys lol.

These are new poems inspired by ANZAC day, our remembrance day. They are irreverent statements about the stupidity and horrors of war, written in Australian vernacular. Many are based upon my experiences of helping War Veterans and hearing their stories. I don't believe in the ANZAC myth or tradition or anything that glorifies war. When a people are under threat they do forget their differences and rally together, and we Aussies do that often because of the number of natural disasters that happen around our country. ANZAC didn't forge the Australian character, the nature of Australia did that and continues to do so!
