Ever since Melia the Merciful was born she has always been a friend to dragons. To Melia, their roars and growls are no different to the Norse speech of the humans around her. However, what happens when she meets a certain leader of the Dragon Hunters and falls in love with him? Will the Dragon Riders find out? Will the hunters? Will the relationship between Dragon Rider and Dragon Hunter burn hotter than a dragon's fire or will they be forced to leave each other because of how different they are? Family can be complicated. Varra was a dragon rider. And a good one at that. Yet she sometimes felt like she didn't belong. Not just because she wasn't a Berkian by blood, though that didn't help.
