After losing his mother at a young age with his father out of the picture, Midoriya Izuku starts to see the world in a new light. The filter that only sees the good is ripped apart, and Izuku runs away after the realisation, his quirk force-manifesting in the process for his survival. Years later, becoming known as the infamous Soul Thief, he encounters Aizawa Shouta, also known as the Underground Pro Hero Eraserhead, who turns his life upside down. He is given the chance to become the hero he'd always dreamt to be. But the light of hope has already faded in him. What will happen now? Cross-posted at AO3

Izuku stood on the roof, watching after the hero that was once his idol. He blinked. The feeling of worthless, hopeless, wretched emotional agony sat heavy in his stomach. He blinked again, this time holding back tears and not shock. Maybe they were right... He couldn't be a hero.

Izuku has always been crushed down, told he couldn't make it, but when his idol, All Might tells him he can't be a hero, he snaps. He becomes reclusive, gives up on being just like All Might. But he doesn't give up on saving people, he just takes a slightly shadier route. He'll show them what a hero is supposed to be. Shouto despises his father. Despises what the word hero has become. He meets a boy who tells him he can be a hero, a real hero. So he does. Hitoshi runs from home to home. He just wants a family, people who won't hate him for his quirk. It just so happens that he finds an opportunity to make sure no one else feels the same way he did. And he takes it. (Infrequent updates, but I'm planning on making them long when they do come out. TW for: Suicidal thoughts, violence, swearing, will update when needed, if you notice something please comment. Rating subject to change) (If y'all wanna make a cover for me just dm me but I am not doing it sorry)

When Kamino Ward happens, the students of Yuuei are given an ultimatum. They can move full time onto campus, where they will be monitored by 24 hour security and their moves will be constantly watched; or they can leave. Izuku chooses to leave, to cut his losses and become something greater. To the surprise of pretty much only him, the rest of class 1A chooses to join him. - Cross posted on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/16037390 - "Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." ― Rob Siltanen

I enjoy torturing Tsukauchi, plus wholesome Midoriya, a second of Eraser and a world ending amount of Yagi. _________________________ So what he did instead was go to the break room and shake whatever bit of information he could. Seeing as the man was equally confused (at least he hoped so) and utterly exhausted as Tsukauchi was himself, that wasn't going to be too hard. And Eraser just fucking shrugged "Dunno" he answered when Tsukauchi had asked him why the vigilante had been with him, uncuffed "I'm equally confused as you are, Detective." the hero sighed audibly as the coffee from his mug seemed to dissipate into the air "He just walked up to me, said 'Oh nooo, you caught me, whatever shall I do?' and then proceeded to, and I quote 'gracefully allowed such a lowlife as me get blessed by his companionship' on my patrol until I finally had enough of his little comments and took him here" silence, then slight slurping filled the room "In conclusion, I have no clue" and just like that, the hero was gone and another dirty mug was added to the already big pile of dirty mugs in the precinct sink. Tsukauchi stared at the retreating figure of the the hero, lost. "What" he repeated This story is inspired by Provoked by MidnightSoulz on ao3.
