This is the story (or rather, stories) of one ghost called Barbara- one who spends her days indoors, making odd cloth dolls and watching the endless years go by- all while trying (and mostly) failing to finally make friends. This definitely isn't your father's ghost story.

A series of vignettes from a girl surviving high school life. My points of view and writing techniques have led me to write vignettes rather than long fictional works. I feel as if, if I were meant to be an author, this is the style I would choose. I wanted to open my mind to let things out and let other people know what goes on in my mind and what I think of on a daily basis. All cover and chapter pictures belong to me as I have drawn or captured them.

Not knowing where to classify this so I'm listing it as teen fiction -- trying to steer clear of amateur banalities though. TRIGGER WARNING: First-time novels may be lame! My life in the form of 4 vignettes and a poem. This was for a project in my English class. I really enjoyed both the project and being able to share myself with everyone. All the stories are true and yes, the story is only 998 words....

These stories were written under the restriction that the first line has to be the first thing said to me on Wednesday mornings. Most are from my fiancé; sometimes he planned them to give me a difficult time writing a story, sometimes it was random. I need to revise all of these stories for my portfolio due in mid-May. For the revisions I can move the placement of the first quote if I want, expand stories. . . Basically do anything. Please give any and all feedback! Thank you!

A scene prompt. Given: a female, mid twenties, no real life plans. An old man, retired carnival worker. He spills her coffee and destroys a precious possession of hers. She thinks she might be pregnant but doesn't know if she should tell anyone.

When three teenagers decide to float down the Russian River on a pool raft, headed toward the place where the river meets the sea, their stories and the stories of other characters - including a rock band, a bachelorette party, a tetris addict, and an elderly bar owner - converge and hinge on each other in interesting ways.

Ciao!~ Avi here- I've been getting more into writing vignettes for a while now (not even sure if it's the correct word for what I've turned it into) but at some point I did a challenge. I decided to write one a day for a month with a time limit of thirty minutes. Here is the result of that. I may also add a few more, not tied to the challenge. These vignettes were a way for me to write out ideas and flesh them out a bit as time passed, so please enjoy! If you see a signature on any of the pictures (other than XIX) that would be my moms signature. She was actually the one to convince me to do this vignette challenge. She made all the pictures for the [DxA] section, so thanks to her! The [DxA] section is all from the challenge. Any further vignettes are not correlated to the challenge.
