These are three poems we had to write in my English class. There is: sestina, villanelle, and one style that we made up as a class. I'm not much of a poet but I tried lol. Give me feedback, be as brutal as you want, I like to be critiqued!

"White Lotus," noun. People who always play the victim, blame-shift, and gaslight others for reacting to their lack of accountability, manipulation, passive aggressiveness, and mistreatments. They always finish their conversations with... "I didn't mean for you to take what I said that way." "I was only trying to help; I'm sorry, I'm just not as good at this as you are." "Why are you so mean? You don't need to get so upset." "Can't you be a little more forgiving? I've tried my best." ... the list goes on. Lila Young, a successful entrepreneur and self-made woman, was best friend to such a white lotus for 20+ years until she found her in her boyfriend's bed. Heartbroken, she went on a trip to reconnect with herself, but lost her life in a car wreck. Instead of dying, she woke up with her soul registered to a system called No. 4051, reincarnated over and over again as Lilas who are all victims to the white lotus protagonists in each of their worlds. "So... let me get this straight." "I'm to expose these white lotuses and live a fulfilling life without their manipulation and toxicity. And in the end, I get to come back to life?" A poem, particularly a villanelle. (A villanelle, also known as villanesque,[1] is a nineteen-line poetic form consisting of five tercets followed by a quatrain. There are two refrains and two repeating rhymes, with the first and third lines of the first tercet repeated alternately at the end of each subsequent stanza until the last stanza, which includes both repeated lines. The villanelle is an example of a fixed verse form. The form started as a simple ballad-like song with no fixed form; this fixed quality would only come much later, from the poem "Villanelle (J'ay perdu ma Tourterelle)" (1606) by Jean Passerat. From this point, its evolution into the "fixed form" used in the present day is debated. Despite its French origins, the majority of villanelles have been written in English, a trend which began in the late nineteenth century. The villanelle has been noted as a form that frequently treats the subject of obsessions, and one which appeals to outsiders; its defining feature of repetition prevents it from having a conventional tone.)

Villanelle's mind flies to a time when life was simpler, when it was filled with English practice and literature reading instead of walking unnoticed and loading guns. Her mind flies to a time when her days filled with language classes instead of killing people-when her days filled with Anna.

A poem I wrote for school....

A collection of poems written as they come - unfiltered, unorganized, and burning with whatever feeling lived in the moment. Devotion. Unrequited love. Wanting someone so much you fly too close. Like Icarus, I wrote because I needed to fall.

An anthology of love and lies; choice and change; fate and free will. Lives interlocking like clockwork and yet not at all like clockwork.
