Rody is devastated by the death of his ex-girlfriend Manon, who disappeared two weeks before her death. The cause of her death is unknown, but Rody is determined to find out who or what caused his ex-girlfriend's death. Will he be able to discover the cause of his ex-girlfriend's death, and finally know everything that was behind her death?

Rody signs up for a job as a waiter to get some spare money for his girlfriend. When Rody meets his new boss, Vincent, he quickly takes interest in him, almost forgetting about his grilfriend, Manon, completely.

Vincent had recently been kicked out of his own village, and needed a place to stay. It pissed him off how he himself was honestly, and why he was even a werewolf in the first place. But once this ruthless wonderer comes across an ancient and abandoned mansion, little does he know, his future is about to go beyond what he imagined. - Hello! this is a dead plate monster Au - BUT REVERSED! (Rody x Vincent) - Dead plate fanfiction - Rody has a chance to get over Manon after a event that happens, he takes it gladly. Yet soon his heart calls out for someone else, more specifically, Vincent. Vincent is a renowned chef who had a bad experience with love last year. When Rody starts to pursue him, Vincent is not ready. In his mind he doesn't wanna get hurt again. In Rody's mind, he loves Vincent with his whole heart, he just has to prove it. (This is my version of Dead Plate without Vincent having cannibalistic qualities). (Cover art is not mine, I have just edited it.)

What if Manon had soundly broken up with Rody and didn't rebound with Vince? Would interest have begun to develop between the two organically rather than Rody forcing himself through work for Manon while Vincent's interest in him was tempered by his desire to learn the secret to reacquiring taste? Without the dark undercurrents and maybe with a little bit of empathy, could things be different for them? Vincent had his sweet moments afterall. And Rody could be kinder and more curious when Manon wasn't involved. Neither of them are by any means completely stable and faultless, but maybe a solid foundation could have made all the difference. -This story will contain light violence and swearing as Vincent is a bit of a jerk at times. Future chapters won't contain NSFW, though it will be implied. Just be aware that I intend for this to be a slow-ish burn just because I don't want to rush it. Mostly ill be focusing on fluff and romance because these two deserve that. Due to work and just life in general, updates may be off and on but the plan is to update every Monday!
