This is a Dead Plate au where Vincent is not a cannibal. After falling in love with his restaurant employee, Rody, Vincent contracted hanahaki disease. After having spent almost his entire life without a sense of taste, Vincent can finally taste one thing: the cherry blossoms he now can't stop coughing up. They are sweet, but they could kill him. So, Vince is left with a decision: give in to his lifelong desire to taste again but die lonely, or risk it all for the love of his life?

Rody signs up for a job as a waiter to get some spare money for his girlfriend. When Rody meets his new boss, Vincent, he quickly takes interest in him, almost forgetting about his grilfriend, Manon, completely.

HI :D while reading you'll notice that some of the dialogues come straight from the game, I've done my best to make this as seemingly canon to the OG game as possible, but with a twist. What if Vincent wasn't a cannibal and instead a normal guy... well... semi-normal.

Taking place in 1960 Paris, France, when a young waiter named Gabriel Alphonse became a waiter at the renowned bistro La Gueule de Saturne, run by Vincent Charbonneau, he finds himself growing attached to the owner and his coworker Rody Lamoree, and unknowingly he saves a womans life, and saved the two men too.
