We build our lives on the most unstable things; ice. All of us built our futures, our careers on ice, something that under pressure would crack. And for all of us, it cracked, and we fell through. He thought he was ready. The world thought he was ready. But apparently, he wasn't ready. NATHAN CHEN was set to win the gold medal at the 2018 Olympics, he had everything, the quads, the luck, the mental game. But at the Olympics, everything gave out. He was just an 18-year-old, with too much pressure on his shoulders. KIERRA YU was a shot in the dark. She came out of nowhere, with the ability to randomly and spastically throw quads. She had the so-called "full package." She knew what she was there for, to win. Yet she got distracted and too involved, and in the end, it lead to her downfall. VINCENT ZHOU was young and naive. He had never won, and going to the Olympics was honestly just for fun. He wished that he could be more, more talented, more skilled, more of everything, but he wasn't. Three athletes from the United States of America, three destinies, three skaters that fell short. 2018 brought failure, in all sorts of aspects, from skating to their love life. But all three are waiting for their redemption skate, the skate where they win. But jealousy, lovers, and exes never mix, and some will rise, and others will drown. Yet to move on they must all forget the past, learn to forgive, and give second chances. But to all of them they still question; Can you juggle a career and a relationship? What if... The skaters could live the lives that they never got to fully experience? In a parallel universe, none of the skaters know how to skate. No trainings to attend, competitions to take part in, nothing. Instead, they lead ordinary high school lives, complete with homework to do, friends to make, crushes to crush (not really). There is a catch, however. All these skaters all go to the same university prep school. Bonding over misunderstanding each other through the language barrier. How wonderful This is what happens when you take a handful of your favorite figure skaters, two overly obsessed skating fans (Who fail at writing but nevertheless, still write stories.) and dump two (heaped) tablespoons of exaggeration stir it together and BAM! (maybe make that 4) There you have it, Skaters 101. (but without the skating) This is a purely fictional crack fiction. Any references to real life people or incidents are all by coincidence.

But, despite his denial, the excessive pressure and high expectations are slowly causing him to crack. When their two lives clash, it's impossible for the two of them not to feel envious of the other, but as their guards fall down, will they be able to find a sense of stability in a mess too complex for them to understand?

Alex Federov is a seventeen-year-old Russian figure skater competing for the United States. As both his first Senior World Championship and impending move to his family's native country, pressure mounts as his life approaches a critical crossroad. At the same time, fifteen-year-old. Alexandra Trusova is enjoying her second and likely final year in the junior category of women's figure skating. She fully intends to compete at the senior level for the following season. The two of them have been crossing paths at various training camps for the last year and a half, though they haven't interacted much with each other. However, certain events in the lead-up to the 2018 Figure Skating World Championship put their lives on a collision course. As the two experience the World Championships and beyond together, how will their lives change? Will they be able to cope with the rapidly unfolding changes, and will they find the happiness they are both searching for?
