No one actually knew how they got there, but the 4 victims just woke up there. They woke up in a strange place full of white coloured demons. And in all honesty, it was much safer being with these demons than being in the Mandela County.

Vine Staff never wanted this curse. She never wanted the looming fear that one day her body would turn to wood, and she'd die. But yet here she is. So, when one day an opportunity arises for the chance her life could go back to the way it was, before her arm got cursed, she takes it. Now Vine Staff is left wondering if leaving behind her friends and family was the right decision, and if it's even possible to go back.
