You flinched as it snaked around you, pulling you in. Your back was pressed to his front now as he gripped you firmly. He was incredibly warm. Were you supposed to let it happen? Should you wake him up? You froze, the warmth was too comfortable. It wasn't as if it was your choice anyways. You exhaled, releasing the built up tension and relaxing in his grasp. Instead of Thorfinn meeting Hild on his journey to Greece he dies from a band of pirates named the Grandlink. After Hild finds out she feels lost. Killing him was supposed to fill the void inside her but now, Thorfinn is dead. To keep herself together she starts a journal to keep track of the days.

Being a prince is a hard job and it's even harder when people think you're not of royal blood. Thorfinn proves himself over and over again though it seems he can't win his father's love or people's love. On a trip to a sacert city to gain the object of a God is when Thorfinns life changes forever and he meets Askeladd. Everything Thorfinn thinks and thought he was is broken right in front of him. Will Thorfinn live through all this? will Askeladd destroy everything Thors had done for Thorfinn? and will Thorfinn change for the better or worse? this story is about struggle, love, and hope and most of all! is being a warrior mean killing? or does it mean something else?
