In early spring 1928, Emily Atkinson is contacted by her distant male cousin, the one who inherited the Atkinson estate when her parents passed on. Now with her brother alive and well, the situation of inheritance has become more complicated and the cousin requests her to come home and settle everything. The girls parents named her Evangeline Martha Crawley. It was then that she was known as: 'The Angel of the Abbey'. Little did the residents of Downton Abbey know that July 15th 1901, Evangeline's 5th birthday, would take a turn for the worst. Not only was it her birthday, it was the day of the summer festival that is held yearly at Downton Abbey. Many people came to celebrate and have a wonderful time with their families, playing games, and grabbing a rare opportunity to socialise with Lord and Lady Grantham, and the Dowager. However, a fire had broken out inside the building. Screams of panic could be heard over Lord Grantham ordering everyone to evacuate and immediately contact the fire brigade, but what the family didn't know was that Evangeline had gone missing. What happened to her? Where could she be? For many years, people have searched for her, only to come up with nothing. A few people pretended to be the missing Crawley as years went by, but none had succeeded.
