As long as she doesn't do anything that could jeopardize significant events in time, Filomena Esteban y Molina is free to do whatever she wishes in the 19th century. She is so absorbed in the upkeep of her painting career that she fails to notice she's already being surrounded by beings who have their own designs on her. The mysterious and charismatic mind seer, Salazar Alcantara, seems a likely candidate. Filomena will need to figure out who's an ally or an enemy in a century that is in great danger of changing. And fast!

Long ago, there were seven moons -- personified by the seven moon deities. The siblings were full of beauty and grace, and both humans and gods were enchanted by their beauty. Youngest of the siblings was Bulan. He was playful and curious. One night, he heard the god of death, Sidapa, mutter something about the moons that angered Bulan. This started a petty war between the two. Although if Bulan was being honest, he enjoyed this connection - however unconventional - he had with the other deity. * Sidapa has settled into a routine. Every night, he'd watch the skies and wait for the youngest moon deity - to exchange snarks and pranks. It was foolish, but it made his existence more interesting. But then a vicious dragon from the underworld, Bakunawa, started attacking the moons... and Sidapa only had one thing in mind: save the seventh moon, Bulan. DISCLAIMER: This is a fanfiction LOOSELY based on various Visayan (and some Bicolano) myths in the Philippines. I butchered the myths right off the bat (because I mixed different versions of myths from different parts of Visayas and Bicol) so if you're not okay with that, consider yourself warned.

Death Waits or The Tale of Jaramarana Everyone knows that you can't bargain with Death. For Sidapa, the god of the Veil of Vijayas, is absolute. He is the true constant of life and the inevitable end of all journey. But can one run from the God of Death? The tale you're about to read is all set in the pre-colonial Philippines, in the land of Vijayas where all my Bagani Saga tales like THE SONGS OF STRIFE and TALES OF TIKUM KADLUM are set. This short story is inspired from a shorter tale I once read a long time ago. This, I guess, is my version of it? Hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it and do leave a comment behind!

This book contains the world building elements and some lore I took from Visayan mythology to make my Bagani Saga stories. I've also added some fragments and pieces from my published and unpublished works here. I hope you enjoy this pedants! 😊 Author's note: As with all world building elements, some of the things here are inspired by facts (or in this case, Visayan mythology and Philippine History). My version does not genuinely follow the local mythology. So, just apply large amounts of suspension of disbelief if you notice something odd. It also extends to the depiction of places or the setting in general. Again, just to be clear this version is not accurate and are purely 'fictionalized'. The author would like to invoke his right to artistic liberties :)
