The next day is Saturday. It’s also holidays so normally I’d sleep in. But I can't unless I’m sure that Lilly’s okay. I go to ask my parents if I can go. “Mum, can I see Lilly?” “No. Not right now.” “Why?” “Why yes?” “Because she could die any second now.” “She’s not a good influence on you. She’s got you dreaming about being on the Xfactor.” Dad answers. “What?” “Look, if you step out this house, you are never coming back again.” I look at both my parents. Then I think of Lilly. I can't let her die like that. Not without saying goodbye. I turn away from my family and say, “Fine! I can take care of myself! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been doing it my whole life!” Then I run.
