(Ranked # 18 out of the top 1000 in Wattpad poetry on August 20, 2015! See photo in "Thank You Readers".) A name, a history, and four lines of mystery . . . Is one short poem enough to experience a life, a legend, or a legacy? The poetry in this book is inspired by fantasy, historical accounts, and fairytales. I wanted to keep the elegant parts of traditional wisdom that encourage or allow for quiet thought.- L. Etheriel (This book has new parts added throughout the week! If you want to keep updated, then please add it to your reading list and follow the author. Feel free to leave comments and vote/leave a star on every poem you enjoy!) Here are a few samples , just two from over 60 original poems in this growing collection. Sample Poem #1: Lorelei (Lorelei is derived from a legend similar to that of a siren or mermaid. The myth tells of a maiden who lived on a rock in the Rhine River. Her song lured fishermen.) Deep in the mist an aria is hidden The Rhine's lilting voice serenades the forbidden Dripping locks of hair and a blanket of scales Vanish as lilies and foam cover her trail Sample Poem #2: Jason (Jason originates with a word meaning "healer".) Neither wounds nor aching bones should go unnoticed Still, healing of another kind must come into focus There are remedies of herbs or a doctor's inspections But spare a moment of ease to make calm reflections

The Sensibility Of Life What greater mean is there than decoding the secrets of not numbers but words??? Haneefazayd poem are poems of varying length which draws it's inspiration from the vicissitudes of life's experiences: Love, hatred, struggle, hypocrisy, family, admonitions, to mention but a few. Like unto the sword are words. Searing deeply into the hearts of men for the soothing and healing of broken hearts; like unto the sword are words, searing deeply into the hearts of men, damaging like the poisened spear. Delicate are words; like eggs. Once broke can hardly be recouped. Avail yourself of the niceties of @Haneefazayd poems for your thoughts shall never remain the same. Thanks Haneefazayd Cares

This was created so writers could find that one word or phrase they were looking for to place in their story. It will contain descriptive words for scenery, buildings, people, countenances, clothes, adjectives, and anything else I think that might be useful for writing a story. I created this because sometimes when I'm writing I don't know the right words to use to take my story from sounding basic, to involved. I hope this helps other readers improve their writing as well.

In life, hard times have a way of keeping us from finding peace and contentment. Especially during this current time of this worldwide pandemic. It seems everyone is feeling the strain of daily living. Poets, over the centuries, have used their words to express the essence of the human condition. It is with that thought in mind; I offer a few words of inspirational poetry as a gift to uplift your spirit. Also, I included a plethora of unusual words to enhance your vocabulary. There seems to be something innate in the human spirit when we aspire to learn something new. It gives us an inner feeling of accomplishment. Sometimes the simplest feeling of completing a deed brings a sweet moment of joy. Thank you for allowing me to share these simple thoughts. I wish you the best. I would appreciate your comments and vote if my writing touches your heart. Again, thank you for your time. Stay safe! ~Rose

In an attempt to broaden my vocabulary, I have decided to draw inspiration from Dictionary.com's 'word of the day' were they highlight a random word on the front page of their website daily, usually a word that is often unheard of. Most pieces will be poems, but I may attempt to craft some short stories along the way too.

This story is inspired by the author having Samhainophobia, the fear of Halloween. I don't enjoy horror movies since they cause having nightmares and Halloween decor seems pretty realistic. This story is also based on realistic events.

Early school age English children acquire over 3000 words a year. The main factors which account for such rapid vocabulary growth are context and word-formation knowledge. Such vocabulary growth is also of great interest in the L2 acquisition. Using empirical tests, the book puts side by side L1 and L2 acquisition of word-formation devices. The first chapter explores the early acquisition of word-formation devices by English children and presents the principles through which cross-linguistic influence diverts L2 learners from the natural way of acquiring word-formation devices of their target language. It also presents the 'Dual Semantic Transparency' Hypothesis in the L2 acquisition. The second and third chapters utilize empirical evidence in examining the advanced acquisition of word-formation devices by both native speakers and L2 learners, as well as highlight the points in which morphological cross-linguistic transfer is more evident to L2 learners. The fourth chapter offers suggestions over the way L2 learners' knowledge of word-formation devices of their target language can be improved. The book is targeted to anyone interested in language acquisition.
