On Christmas Eve, a boy named Oliver can think of only one thing: going to the town Christmas tree. But he is seriously ill, and his parents won't allow it. All he can do is watch it from his bedroom window. Yet the moment he leans out, trying to catch the sounds of the celebration, the wind tears a glow shaped like a little star from his chest - a glow Oliver has been able to see ever since he fell ill. It used to keep him warm, but now it's gone, and the boy begins to freeze... It feels like the end has come. But then his older brother, Hio, appears - he has a glow of his own and can see it, too. The brothers, warmed by only a single glow between them, decide to set out in search of the one that was stolen away... And so their journey begins... a journey destined to become the brightest in the boys' lives! Fukase, who has experienced so much in "Cold Shards and Warm Stars", finally found someone to take on the role of a responsible and caring parent... This person is Asterian. Now they live together, but it can be quite difficult to get used to someone becoming so suddenly important... This short story will show us several excerpts from their life that are significant in the development of Asterian and Fukase's relationship. This fanfic is considered canonical for the book "Cold Shards and Warm Stars" and is recommended to be read only after reading it.

The first Vocaloids sung in English, LEON and LOLA. Sweet ANN and Big AL , along with Miriam and Sonika came in Vocaloid2. Oliver, along with YOHIOloid, and Avanna were released for Vocaloid3. Even after all this time, they were always pushed to the wayside of the Japanese singing ones. Not for long, if Oliver was going to have anything to do with it.

After years of crushing in fictional characters, he thought love only existed between certain people. He knew that he would never find the one. ♪ But that was before he met the perfect one for him.

Ever since Oliver got harrassed and lost his eye, he wasn't really ever the same. He never really trusted anyone, especially because he knew the harassers that carved his eye out. His parents, Sweet Ann and Big Al was never really home either, so he was basically living alone. He hated that now, because of how scared he was. He decided to move to Japan, to his brother Yohio in Japan, it was a big step, sure, but he just couldn't stay in England. He moved to a school and met some interesting people... Fukase was the kind of guy that was nice, though you knew it wasn't best to mess with. He was extremely teasy but you still noticed he meant the right thing. But, ever since the house fire he was kind of different. Half his body got covered in burnmarks. He started to be a big target for bullying, because of his half burnt face. He still had some friends left though, Piko and Flower. Though when someone new came to school, things started to change...
