Caspian, Lucien and Ally are three orphans in different parts of the world. Capsian is adopted and lives in the middle of the Australian desert listening to whale song. Lucien is a living weapon for his US family but doesn't mind as long as they're loyal, and Ally's body lies in a hospital bed while I mind explores elsewhere. All three have their own lives and drives and yet they end up at the same University in Canada. Who are they? Do they have a strange purpose or is the world just a strange place?

Evelyn does not have a last name. Only people who are important get a last name. She normally just walks around on tye sidewalk, maybe a spectator at a zoo just outside of Master's line of vision. Evelyn lives in Master's head. She lives in Master's dreams. Evelyn can do whatever she likes during the day, but at night, she is a slave. Her feet take her down streets she would never go down during the day, she says things that might be mean or nice. Now, Evelyn's Master is in trouble, and needs to wake up, but Evelyn can do nothing to save her, unless she wishes to battle Conscience, the ruler of all of Dream Land.

Alistair Reagan-Smith is a Normal Kid. Is what he says to the mirror every day. His sociopathic ways keep him from having a normal life, or even feeling like he's normal. And when Bay Deeds comes into town she sees it too. Except she's interested?
