An AU in which the Galra Empire is a totalitarian military coup that destroyed almost the entire planet in their quest for power and world domination. The rest of humanity now has to deal with the fallout. (Aka the Apocalypse Road Trip) ... The Earth has become little more than a barren wasteland in the ten years since the Galra attacked. They managed to screw over the entire planet in just a matter of weeks, and the rest of the world could do nothing to stop them. Almost two thirds of the planet's population was wiped out by the initial harvests of Earth's lifeblood. The quintessence- the lifeforce- of the world was depleted almost entirely. But somehow, humanity has survived. The remnants of the once vast civilizations of Earth now live in cramped, subterranean cities made of iron and stone and steel, with no sunlight, no life, no nothing. But the tunnels are all they have. The Galra still prowl over the Earth's surface, making it unsafe for anyone except the most skilled warriors to venture to the top. Even then, many of them don't make it back. Chyra wished she was one of those unfortunate souls. That would have been better than being banished from the Galra barracks and sent to the surface as punishment for betraying the empire. Now, in an uninhabitable landscape full of hostile people, Chyra must learn to survive or suffer the dire consequences. Who knows, maybe these kids could help out.

A crossover fic for Voltron and the book series The Young Elites by Marie Lu. You don't have to have read the books, but you'll enjoy it much more if you have. Plus, the books are awesome. In a world that has been ripped apart by the blood fever- a sickness that leaves survivors with special marks- there are some who are gifted with an incredible power. Though, when 'Volt' receives a new boy on their casting, a certain Latino from the opposing show takes interest in the crew of 'Volt' beyond that of a rivalry. Lance McClain was one of the main characters of 'Space Depths'-a very haughty one at that. Some could call him a diva or a stuck-up actor, but he was really quite the opposite. Though, no matter how many times he attempts to prove that it is false, he fails. That is when Keith Kogane appears as a new cast member of, 'Volt' for the biggest twist yet. When Lance sees him, he's nothing like his online image of a bad boy rogue. Then Lance comes up with a strategy to remove all incorrect accusations about himself, Keith being the center of it all. I do not own Voltron or its characters.

All his life Keith has had to adapt to others. He's always to fit into someone else's expectations of him. So what happens when someone does the same for him.

Every time you fall in love, you lose a part of your soul to the person you love. Every time someone falls in love with you, you get a piece of their soul. You die when you run out of soul to give. Lance couldn't help it if lots of people happened to love him. He himself found it quite hard to fall in love. Keith has never really loved someone. He's been grateful. He's been sad for someone. But he's never really understood the obsession some people had with finding someone to give and receive soul with.

With him staring you down and the thickening silence in the small corridor, you felt as if you were choking under the pressure. He was hesitating. You didn't know whether you should speak up and demand a response or lighten the mood with a joke. It took you a lot to gather up the courage to even bring him in a secluded area away from the rest of Voltron since the last time you had such bravery was during better times. So you were very proud of yourself when you had managed to convince yourself to place yourself in such a vulnerable state again.
