Many years after the universe has been saved by Voltron, the Garrison has become a peace foundation for planets all over. Earth is a hun for all species, and acts as a meeting place for diplomacy. When the lions of Voltron return to earth suddenly however, the paladins find themselves wondering if this peace will last. Taking their kids along, they return to the garrison ready for takeoff. But... It seems like the universe will need a new set of defenders.

"Keith! Keith!" Lance staggers through the dead forest, a hand gripping his injured thigh. He tries not to look at the metal wire sticking out of it, and the blood dripping down his leg. He can barely walk straight. He keeps yelling his fellow Paladin's name. It doesn't take long for one of the shouts to break and for Lance to fall to his knees, sobbing, crashing his fist against the ground. He had known that an answer would not come.
