As a Raionsupiritean, her people were heavily involved with the creation of the lions and Voltron, as the lions's consciousnesses was of her people's work. Now, she has been entrusted to guide the lions, and the paladins, down the right path to saving the galaxy. However, to accept such a responsibility means she must now live by one harsh rule: she must not allow herself to gain feelings for any of the paladins, as it would cloud her judgement and possibly lead the team to certain doom. At first, this rule holds little meaning to Nifa. However, when her heartstrings bind with that of her old friend, Keith Kogane, Nifa must face her most difficult challenge yet: she must decide whether to listen to her head, the one thing the universe depends on, or her heart, the one thing SHE depends on. (Okay, so this is my first Voltron fanfiction ever! On top of that, it's my first published non-Minecraft fanfiction ever, so be nice!)

Caretaker, a title passed down the generations. The Caretakers serve the Paladins, Voltron, and anyone they side with. Those who control Voltron control the Caretaker. Our main character, she is a Caretaker. Her job is to care for the Lions, help choose who shall ride them, and so on. Zarkon had taken her in, deeming her useful and ordering her to care for the Red Lion as they search for the rest. She was fine with this job, growing a stronger connection with the Lion... until one day it's stolen. Zarkon's forces are constantly being attacked and she's starting to fear for her safety, especially since she knows where the Red Lion is due to their connection (she will eventually have a connection with all the Lions). She steals a fighter and sets out to the Castle of Lions, ready to serve the Paladins.

She's put back in the arena and loses her right leg and gains a galra tech leg. She is put into a cell with other prisons while she is healing and rescued by Voltron and reunited with her friends.
