    Charlie Camden decided, after the passing of her mother, that she was going to be someone else. Smoking, drinking, and partying is what her new persona does for fun. But after a night where things go too far, and two of her 'best friends' leave her stranded to spend the night in the county jail all alone, Charlie faces repercussions at home. Her aunt and uncle decide that they've had enough of her antics and refusals to follow the rules. When Charlie is sent back home to the little town of Hickory Falls - the beloved childhood dwelling before her parents' blood-bath of a divorce - to live with her absentee-father, she finds that there are so many memories here she wishes desperately that she can let go of. Sometimes, though, letting go can be very difficult. Quite near impossible, actually. #512 ~ Teen Fiction [5/10/15] ©All Rights Reserved Cover credit goes to @doubtful {THIS STORY IS TEMPORARILY, AND IRONICALLY, ON HOLD.}

    A population of more than a billion, but still a huge chunk of India suffers from illiteracy. Men, women and children are all affected. This disease has led to poverty, strife and backwardness for the affected. People have lost job opportunities as well as independence. Children have been robbed of a future and women have lost the means of a career and independence. Similarly illiterate men could not get any decent job opportunities that would satisfy their families and have to work for lesser wages when they could have been better placed. After seeing the consequences it is evident that society has lost a lot when they are deprived of a formal education. Even after knowing the after effects why have parents restrained their child from learning to read and write? Why are the majority of women in the poverty stricken families or villages illiterate? Well the answer for this question lies in the fact that many of these families are poor and cannot afford a proper education for their children. Whereas some poor families have more than two children. On the other hand women of the lower class have been brought up with a narrow mindset. They believe that women are not entitled to an education and they are slaves to their husbands and society. Such a frame of mind has led to dowry murders or harassment as well as deprives an ambitious woman of a chance to excel. Mission Heal has organized many events to help educate the poor. A free health camp is organized to monitor the health of the poor. Also books and clothes are donated frequently for the poor children. Mid-day meals are provided by Mission Heal, for nourishing the people who cannot afford a square meal. Mission Heal also provoked the right to free education for the lower classes. All these are attempts to make the children and the families broaden their vision and embrace the art of learning. These free camps aim at affiliating a child towards education.

    Years after the fall of Capitol, where people call the nation "United Panem", everything is peaceful. After so many years, everyone is happy. Katniss and Peeta have two lovely teenage children, Lilian and Sam. Their life is beautiful, perfect. Panem has finally dug it's way out of the ashes. No more poverty, no more starvation, no more persecution, and no more Hunger Games. But that peace and tranquility all comes tumbling down when someone finds the 'Contract of the Capitol Games' - It was voted by the victors of the districts' Hunger Games that there will be another Games, but for the Capitol this time. Lilian Mellark, fondly called Lian, daughter of Katniss and Peeta Mellark, visits the Capitol with her family and friends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Panem's freedom from the Capitol. She, for the time being, is blissfully unaware of the looming Hunger Games. She is safe from the Games of course, but the new friends she makes in the Capitol aren't. And the Capitol boy she meets definitely isn't. As Lian learns about the Capitol Games and gets to better understand the people of the Capitol, she finds herself fearfully dreading the event that her fellow citizens in the Districts are eagerly awaiting. Can Lilian Mellark save her Capitol friends, or will her influence and reach fall too short? ----------------------- Sequel to the Hunger Games trilogy.
