Ik laat mijn blik over de dansende mensen massa glijden, en zie hem. Zijn donkere haren zitten warrig, en hij lacht, Zoals hij ook altijd naar mij deed. Vroeger. Zijn verleidelijke glimlach, die alles wat hij me aandeed deed vervagen. Zijn glimlach was duivels. Mijn blik gaat opzoek naar haar, waar is ze? En waarom is ze niet bij hem? Wat is ze voor vriendin. Waarom koesterd ze zijn aandacht niet? Er loopt een rilling over mijn lichaam als ik de twee samen zie staan. Ze drukt haar lippen op de zijne, en mijn mijn lichaam vult zich met een gemengd gevoel van woede en afschuw. "Ik pak haar nog wel" fluister ik, en duik weer terug de mensen massa in.
