Two 14 year-olds meet and fall in love at a two week summer camp for gifted students. At the end of the two weeks they must return to there homes, separated by over 500 miles. The two are smart enough to realize that a long distance relationship may be too difficult to maintain for the four years until they graduate high-school. But the experience is something new to them both, and something they are not willing to give up on. How will they cope in the months that separate their visits?
