It's summer and a 16-year-old Darik Lanton wakes up to a weird feeling.

Ryan's life had began to spiral out of control, he had finally managed to make a living from music. It had been a long time coming but Ryan and the rest of his band were finally starting to see rewards from the last few years of hard work. New people were constantly coming in and out of their lives, but one girl changed things for them all...Her name was Alexis Black.

I woke up 10 mins ago and started writing about the experience I just had. I wanted to express what I was going through. This is something I wake up to almost everyday.

Getting up from bed is simply and easily the hardest thing to do.

Today's flash fiction is set in my Dragon Shaman book continuity (Dragon Shaman: Taming the Blowing Wind and Dragon Shaman: The Smoky Mirror). It has been a long time since I've given Ryu and BlowingWind some attention. Posted also to my Patreon.

Love is strange. Maybe too strange. But I won't forget. And most importantly even after all that's happened, I won't give up.

Belle Kelliger was the 'it' girl in grade eight. She had a voice like an angel and looked like one too, according to her best friends Carley/Carl, Eric and her twin brother, Tennyson. She was friends with everyone and was the most out going energetic person out there. She used to never shut up until that one fateful morning. Carley/Carl and Tennyson were put into comas and Belle didn't smile, laugh or even talk a single word after that. She even left her other best friend behind to be with the other two. That was five years ago and they still haven't woken up and neither has Belle from her mute stage of life. They have moved all over the country into different cities and hospitals trying to wake them up. They finally move to San Diego, Tennyson and Carley move into a new home and Belle enrolls into another school. Ever since that morning she has been looking for that feeling that something good will happen and she finally feels it. Will she find her medicine? Will they ever wake up?

Ok, so, I might have accidentally gotten hit by some kid's ray gun thing when I fell into his basement- so what? Right? Unfortunately, waking up was not a good thing and now I have EVERYTHING trying to kill me. These are my thoughts: Stupid bullies. How did I get stuck in the video game I used to play? What will happen if I die? What will happen if I live? Who really IS Tommy Feynman? What if this is more than what meets the eye?
