The 2022-2023 Film Journal continues with this second entry, "Non-Stop". Here, I discuss the growing interest in and long-standing importance in disposable flicks like this one and how the film develops its intriguing mystery in compelling and unsatisfying ways.

Another adventure in the second person with Tony and Richard.

Anabella is stuck with her stepfamily and is on the verge of running away from a house where she has to answer to their every beck and call. She stays, though, when she realizes there might be more to life than cooking and cleaning for them and helps make a float for the Homecoming parade with Brandon, her longtime crush, and the rest of the drama club. She longs to be accepted and not be labeled the loser, the quiet one. With the dance looming and a new friendship with Brandon that she doesn't want to ruin, can she survive high school? Especially with twisted stepsisters who will stop at nothing to get Brandon to themselves? (A modern take on the Cinderella story. Just so y'all know XD)
