It's a beautiful night in Ketterdam, and the Crows and Dregs have gathered wrong to celebrate together. Inej has come back after a long trip overseas and notices Kaz leaving the party. Curiously, she follows him to check what he's up too, and the two share a tender dance. OR Inej and Kaz open up to each other and slow dance together after Kaz recognizes a song that his parents used to dance to.

summary: the story is inspired by the Greek melody calls The waltz of the lost dreams( Το βαλς των χαμένων ονείρων /watch?v=5q9H2cd36RU ) by Mano Xatzidakis. Takes place 3 months after 6x08 and it is Jane's thoughts and memories about Lisbon on the island.

A not so long poem written in a tired, drunken, over-worked haze about the terrifically beautiful nature that is our death.

Sarah Redikal's grandparents always dress their scarecrows up in fancy clothes. When she asks why they do, they tell her a wonderful story about the Waltz of the Scarecrows. It's beautiful, but it can't be true. The scarecrows don't really dance... do they?

That's a beautifully tragic premise! "The Cursed Waltz" has a hauntingly poetic feel, blending romance, fantasy, and sorrow in a way that lingers. The imagery of Seraphina dancing alone beneath the silver moon and Alaric's desperate, centuries-long search creates a powerful emotional pull.
