In 1920 London, private investigator and war veteran Robert Griffen suffers from increasingly bizarre nightmares. He is soon contacted to look into the disappearance of young Lucille Bell, with the only clue being a letter she sent her brother over a month ago. Robert sets out to Chillbane Island to find out more about the matter. It soon becomes obvious that a secret cult and a murderous ghost-like creature plague the island and Robert finds himself fighting not only for his survival but for his own sanity too. With the world's future at stake, Robert dives deeper into the Island's mysterious past to try and stop the future that will doom the world. With his mind and body at stake, how far will Robert go to seek the truth?

He closed his eyes again and tried to remember. There had been a fight. Alice was there. She had been naked, screaming and hitting him. He remembered entering the house. He was holding his shotgun. He had wanted to teach them both a lesson. Before that, he could remember sitting in his shed, watching them through the half pulled curtains as he eased his pain with whisky, seeing them as they laughed together and crying as he saw them kiss.
