In a turn of events a mysterious meteor crashes into the outer ring, but to those of excellent vision, the 'meteor' was too strange to be a meteor, it felt too smooth, it's movements too deliberate. The Ancestors, scientifically designated archeohomina, and commonly referred to as ancient humanity, were a prehistoric, technologically advanced civilization of the human species that rose to preeminence in the Milky Way galaxy by approximately 150,000 BCE. Having first achieved interstellar travel over a million years earlier and colonized planets across the Orion Arm toward the galactic border, humans became a major political and military power rivaling the Forerunners; indeed, the Didact considered them the second greatest military power and the latest challenge to Forerunner influence. Over a hundred thousand years later, the Librarian would tell John-117 that they were the greatest threat ever faced by the Forerunners. Members of the most predominant human species of this era were on average larger, stronger, and significantly more intelligent than modern humans. This civilization allied with the contemporary San'Shyuum and later waged war against the Flood, only to come into conflict with the Forerunners; they ultimately suffered a disastrous defeat against the Forerunners and were subsequently regressed into hunter-gatherers, confined to their ancient homeworld. But what if they somehow survived in another Galaxy?

The war between humanity and the Covenant has entered its highest point. Desperate for help to ensure humanity's survival, a group of expedition vessels make a course into the most bizzare place in the galaxy-a place where time and space seemingly all but destroyed. In search of salvation, they find their answer, but that answer was beyond any of their mortal minds to comprehend. It opened their eyes that they are not alone in the vastness of the space and time.

There was once a Necron Dynasty known as the Arahtekh Dynasty, said dynasty was ruled by their Phaeron Arahtekh Malahuk. The Phaeron was known amongst his kind as an explorer and a keeper of secrets for unknown reasons. He ventured on these decade long quest for knowledge privately, leaving his dynasty to a family member of Overlord status. This Overlord was named Klaratekh. Klaratekh competently ruled over his fellow Necrons until their Phaeron's return. However the life of the Overlord would change when suddenly the entire cosmos of his world was engulfed in blinding light of unexplainable colors. What occurred was the effect of a multiversal incursion, the Arahtekh Dynasty was transported to a new cosmology. It was more vast and diverse with all manner of organic life, mainly ones in capes and costumes. However while a different galaxy it was still plague with threats, some wanting a piece of the tech that the Necrons posses. With their Phaeron gone and his tomb awaken to a new world, Klaratekh must fight and lead his people in this terrifying new world.
