" Can you hear me running, Can you hear me calling you? " His eyes were wide, as he watched Isildur hesitated. The One Ring glowed in his hand, that was not brave enough to let go and let it be destroyed. All these years, all these battles, all for nothing? He remembered the death of his King, Gil-Galad. And of Thranduil's dear father, Oropher. Every thing, every one they lost.. So with that thought, the Lord of Imladris pushed the King of the Dunedáin of the cliff. He watched with blank eyes as the man's eyes widened, as he along with the Ring fell into the pit of Mount Doom. Destroyed. If he knew that would meant to be the beginning of another battle, Elrond would not dare to do so. He would never kill Isildur. ---- [ WARNING ] Violence. Blood. Maybe triggering stuffs. Idk I'm trying to be as mild as I can. Excuse my two a.m. idea that just would not leave me alone. So this is a what if AU that the One Ring was destroyed BUT in the process killed Isildur too and the men blamed the elves so whoop war. There will be lots of elements from both The LOTR and The Hobbit and The Silm, and I tweaked in few cultures and time differences and all the things that would happen differently due to this AU. Eru help me that I can actually remember all those lores.. Oh yeah, there will be canon characters and few ocs. They are all vital to this story so I won't be just using them as random characters to just pop in. Enjoy reading!

"I have many names, oh great dragon. I am Lithir, the many faced, though one face I have only, and I am Esta, the first, yet many came before me, I am the Fierce, the Swift, the Free, I am a wanderer, veiled, yet a princess at court, and I am mortal and immortal both." "And dwarf-friend, as well, for I smell their scent upon you. Tell me, many-named, have you come to slay me?", Smaug growled denunciatorily [...]. She gripped the handle of her dagger while spinning around with wide eyes, as if she was afraid and found herself face to face with Smaug and with a swift movement she aimed for the eyes to incapacitate him, for the blade was not long enough to go deep. And Smaug reared and bled and in his anger spit fire at his attacker and Estateillio quickly jumped aside and drew her bow. The arrow would have hit his other eye had he not moved so much, but when she extended her hand, his head was jerked around as the dagger [...] was yanked from injured flesh and returned to its master's hand. [《◇》] How do you live, when you have lost so many? How do you live, when the scars never cease to hurt? Which path do you take, when you seek for vengeance? What sacrifices are you willing to make? [《◇》] Disclaimer: The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings and all other works about middle earth belong to Tolkien.

The choice of Beregond, Captain of the Third Company of the White Tower, is much overlooked. His judgment is the King Elessar's first ruling of many. In the dark days of the Siege of Gondor, Beregond must endure a war of his own, between head and heart. With the Lord Faramir injured and the Lord Denethor consumed by madness and grief, Beregond must choose whom to obey and whom to turn away from. With the armies of Sauron encroaching on the Pelennor, he doesn't have much time. Here lies the record of days leading up to the choice of the Tower Guard during the Siege of Gondor, in the last days of the War of the Ring.

Ellerína Altaríel is the descendant of two Eldarian houses, estranged by millennia of war and kinslayings. As the War of the Ring rages on in the East, she fights alongside the elves of Lothlorien and Mirkwood to keep the Sauron's armies at bay. When tensions rise as her true lineage is revealed, she must work to prove herself a daughter of kings. An ode to Tolkien's work and world that keeps somehow getting better every time I throw it out in despair and then come back to it months later. *sigh* **I do not own The Silmarillion or the Lord of the Rings. All heading images are property of their respective owners. **

One decision made differently - as the Three Hunters chase after the orcs who have captured Merry and Pippin, they run through that second night rather than rest -- and everything changes. Well, not everything. They're merely captured by the orcs like Merry and Pippin. Not in the plan. One decision changed doesn't change one's destiny, however. How each of them is to reach the fate destiny has in store for them is a bit peskier, though... In this AU story, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are captured by the orcs trekking across Rohan and struggle to return to their task. There's action and adventure, suspense, not too much angst, and hopefully an enjoyable story for all. Feedback is welcome! This story won First Place in the MEFA Awards! Thanks as ever to the tireless beta, Thundera Tiger!

*Complete* A Lord of the Rings FanFiction A Daughters of Middle Earth Story Formerly Titled "Some Things are Meant to Endure" The only daughter of a King who had lost his Queen and the beloved younger sister of a Prince, Aeslin had grown up in the heart of the Woodland Realm. But given her mother's death in battle when she was but a young elfling, very little was more important to King Thranduil and his son Legolas than her safety. Not only had she never set foot beyond the borders of the Greenwood, she'd rarely left the confines of her Father's Court. For all that she was the most precious thing in the lives of her only family, Aeslin grew up the sad child of a dark forest. But with the Greenwood growing ever darker, Thranduil found himself with a hard choice before him. Fearing for the safety of his youngest child should she stay within the borders of a Kingdom coming to be known as 'Mirkwood', the Elven King made a decision that would change his daughter's life forever. Aeslin had always had a talent for healing, so he decided to send her to Rivendell to learn from Elrond as every great elven healer had done for centuries. There she learns not only the arts of healing, but finds another family, and indeed, eventually finds love. Follows Aeslin from before LotR through to the end of the films. This tale unfolds against the backdrop of the War of the Ring, spanning from the era preceding the Battle of the Five Armies to the dawn of the Fourth Age. It starts on a journey to establish the setting, introduce the characters, and delve into the central narrative that revolves around the untimely demise of the Elven Queen and the menacing curse that ensnares the Prince of Mirkwood, along with an unwitting mortal who becomes entangled in this web of intrigue. However, this is merely the inception of our tale. Brace yourself for an enduring adventure filled with interwoven conflicts, the insidious allure of the Ring, and the ever-shifting dynamics among our compelling cast of characters. At its core, this narrative cherishes the essence of adventure shared by the Fellowship of the Ring, emphasizing the bonds of friendship and the depth of love amidst tumultuous times. Central to this saga are Legolas, Xena, Thranduil, Aragorn, Gimli, and Tauriel whose destinies are interwoven with the fate of Middle-earth. Yet, every character plays a pivotal role in this epic journey, contributing shades of complexity to the overarching narrative. While the story initially orbits around these stalwart heroes, it also beckons the presence of pivotal female characters, notably Arwen, whose significance in the grand of events unfolds with grace and power. The narrative remains poised to introduce another essential female figure, whose role is yet to be revealed, enriching the evolving dynamics and depths of the storyline.
