As a young girl who grew up in the slums of Tondo, Manila, Philippines to a woman of wealth and power, Isabelle is hurled back to her gloomy past when her long lost father got in contact with her again, now with a surprise that will change her life forever. Through this surprise, Isabelle finally comes to terms with who she is as a person-someone worthy of feeling whole, capable of feeling decent emotions, and capable of appreciating not just her own pain but the pain of all those people, before her, who have been hurt just like her.

Part memoir, part current affairs, part argument for legalization - The War on Drugs is a MUST READ for those who believe that the war on drugs only happens to "those people" in "that part of town." Written from the point of view of a wife and mother, The War On Drugs: An Old Wives' Tale examines the pros and cons of marijuana prohibition, drug diversion programs, and challenges the reader to define the nature of addiction and other pre-conceived notions. Early reviews have included: "Written with the humor of hindsight, yet the abject horror of getting caught in the cross fire of the so-called War On Drugs comes through with crystal clarity. For anyone that has any doubt about the truth of the matter, it becomes abundantly clear that the war on drugs is really a war on people, - good wholesome people that care for their children and make a positive contribution to their community. This is a must read. The War on Drug's: An Old Wives' Tale lays bare the absurdity of Marijuana Prohibition, the lies and injustice of our Legal System, and the unscientific, unethical nature of 'The Recovery Industry.' Read it. Believe it. And be warned."

It's a short story on how the war on drugs in the Philippines affects a teenager named 'Kapal' which in Tagalog means thick. That nickname is supposed to insinuate that he has a thick skull and is dumb. I wanted to convey a message that although the war on drugs is beneficial to the country in a sense that it helps eradicate drug dealers, the extrajudicial killings that are being carried out severely impacts innocent people and their relatives and friends.

Aswang is a human-eater, half-body character from the Philippine Mythology. In the morning, it looks completely like any human. But in the evening, it's wings unleashes and goes on to haunt humans only with its upper body. Its lower body is completely hidden away. But again this is a myth. Then, why are there reports that people are being killed by Aswang? Cover photo: Josh Hild via Unsplash Completed: October 2, 2020

It was 2020 and the game was unbalanced from Ronald Reagan's War on drugs. So many people who weren't even drug dealers were sentenced to over 10-20 years in prison for juiced up drug charges. At a sit down with plugs and neighborhood leaders Lee Brooke shared her game changer idea. They loved it. Not all liked the idea they were jealous they didn't think of it. Collect keys: master keys, house keys, car keys, business keys, hotel room keys. Gated community keys. Her idea would change the game forever or at least for her people, her people were hungry.
