A fanfiction about a love between you and Jayfeather. I will be trying to follow as much of the original story by Erin Hunter as much as I can, but this is my first story ever so please be patient will my writing style and updates! The Dark Forest has been defeated, the Clans are at peace... And to Lilypetal's relief after moons of pain, Ashfur was dead. Now, Lilypetal has risen to the rank of ThunderClan's deputy, but the scars of her past run deep. Haunted by the memories of Ashfur and and the torment he brought to her and her loved ones, she struggles to find her place in a role she feels unworthy of. With every shadow in the forest, her doubts grow stronger, threatening to consume her. Goldenshine faces a different kind of darkness as Breezepelt, her former mate, seeks to make amends after moons and moons of utter betrayal against her and the son that they share. Torn between the past and the possibility of a future, she must decide whether to let him back into her life for the sake of Swiftflight. Swiftflight, caught between protecting his mother and confronting his own past, refuses to let Breezepelt near her. The nightmares and visions that haunt him are relentless, dragging him back to the Dark Forest where Ashfur's influence still lingers. As he tries to carry on - trying to protect himself and his mother, he hopes that the shadows of the past won't tear him apart.
