The two clans stared at eachother, theyknew the other was there, but they were waiting for their leaders signal. "Attack!!!" The two leaders yowled, and soon the empty clearing came to life with cats wrestleing and fighting, the stench of blood clung to the night air like a tick clinging to a doe. Cherryfall felt claws sink into her shoulders. "Time to see your mama." Shatteredsoul rasped into Cherryfalls ear. Cherryfall struggled under his weight and eventually went limp. Shatteredsoul lessened his grip, thinking he had won. Cherryfall leapt to her paws and pinned Shatteredsoul on his back! "I wish you never lived!" Cherryfall spat. "Can't say I feel differently about you!" His tail lashed back and forth in anger. Shatteredsoul kicked her off and leapt to his blood-stained paws. Cherryfall faced him and Shatteredsoul faced her. On a starless night, Thunderclan's destiny was about to change forever. Thick fog shadowed StarClan's hunting grounds. Firestar narrowed his eyes against the mist, cautiously. Leafpool hurried toward him with a worried expression on her face. "Mist has never been in StarClan's hunting grounds! Something has to be wrong!" Firestar sighed and flicked his tail. "I know that. But I don't see a problem. It's just fog." Yellowfang padded out of the bushes and flicked her tail, clearly annoyed. "Do you have bees in your brain? This could only be the beginning of a heavy thunderstorm," rasped Yellowfang. "Mist is never in StarClan." "Or it could be just mist," Firestar reasoned. Bluestar appeared with an expressionless face. "Well, what is it?" Yellowfang rasped. Bluestar sighed and then spoke. "When Firestar was Firepaw back then and I was alive, I got a prophecy. The prophecy said, 'If the fire does not burn with more fire, the fire will die to mist...'

When the shadows hold the forest with piercing talons, only the dawn can free them all. Dawnkit is born into ThunderClan as an innocent kit, wanting to be a loyal warrior with her littermates. However, her Clanmates hate her, for her father being a ShadowClan warrior. When her mother dies, the leader decides to banish Dawnkit and her siblings, who find a new home in ShadowClan. As she grows, trouble starts to take hold of the forest. Will Dawnkit be able to keep the things she loves safe?
