Mongul the ruler of WarWorld had captured Superman and forced him into gladiatorial combat. Superman eventually escaped and defeated Mongul thus removing the tyrant from power. Now Mongul wants revenge. He hires the bounty hunter Lobo to bring Superman to face him once more for the rematch of the century.
