~ "Nobody has been a yellow life for 11 years, 4 months and 27 days" "Yes, but we've been close, Grian" ~ 11 years ago, the players banded together and agreed to refuse to delight the Watchers with a show. They decided on peace over fighting, and the Watchers weren't happy. They decided upon a new form of torture: attachment. Time still ticked down for them, so the Watchers thought it would be interesting to send them something they'd never watch grow up: a child. They loved their new children dearly, but knew they couldn't be there with them for most of their lives. Until Grian discovered that the children had infinite time, but only one life. He found a way to get his child to send him time so he could live longer. He shared this with the other players, and they've been almost immortal ever since. The only catch was they couldn't take too much time off of their children without them getting close to death. Grian became a Timekeeper, and all the other players began working to raise their kids and make a new civilisation, a new way of life. Luckily, the Watchers were still entertained. The rest of the players? They won't be entertained much longer.

Grian had been happily playing in season 7 with some of his best friends. When he randomly gets attacked in the End, he learns of a rebellion planning to kill him, leaving Hermitcraft, Mumbo, and his subjects, Watcher and Listener alike, under a tyrant's rule. However, with this attack comes a friend. A friend long thought dead. Can Grian safely neutralize the threat, keeping himself safe in the process? When one player gets forcefully turned into a Watcher and brainwashed to the point of no return, he starts attacking servers, attempting to kill the Watcher King, Xelqua. When he attacks Hermitcraft, somewhere in the back of his mind he recognizes two of the players. Having been under the effects of the Watcher realm for so long has made it near impossible to break free from his mind's prison. Near impossible. TW: Shipping of some characters! (NOT THEIR IRL SELVES, JUST THEIR MINECRAFT PERSONAS!) There may be blood, but not will not be heavily descriptive. Potential for death! Torture! (Will not be above a PG-13 type level, nor super descriptive!) If you are uncomfortable with any of these, this story is not for you, and I'd recommend you click off! And far, far away, two former Evolutoinists begin listener training.

Grian, a parrot hybrid, was kidnapped from the village of Evolution by a hostile group of dragon riders known as the Watchers. He's out scouting when he gets ambushed and held hostage. One of his interrogators learns of his past as Grian and is more than ready to welcome him in. (Aka all the Hermits have dragons and the Watchers get mad at runaway Grian so stuff happens. Also, I had just learned about the NATO phonetic alphabet, and idk what past me was thinking, so it's there lol. Also, characters are pretty ooc).

Purple Plume: Grian's feathers are turning purple and he's worried what the server will do. The Last Ride: An epic wildlife car chase with Joel Toretto. Our Blueprint: Mumbo accidentally calls Xisuma dad. Under the Moss and Moon: Bdubs and Etho battling instinct and the government Belonephobia: Grian is scared of sharp objects.

[DISCONTINUED-Due to lack of motivation and overall story idea. May completely rewrite as a new book someday.] One normal, parrot-watcher boi's sleep means a final call for help. It had taken years of patience and endurance for her to finally reach him, and notch was it worth it. Grian always thought his family was gone for good, but one peculiar dream and a raid later, Grian finds himself with a sister he never even knew existed. While he is overjoyed he has family that really loves him, no good things will last forever. And with the Entities interfering, who knows what's next? {Forewarning, I don't really know much about the DSMP lore, so I'll be taking educated guesses. FirstFic, so I haven't the darndest clue as to what I'm doing. :P}

Grain was just able to escape the watchers, he ended up on a strange server called the DreamSmp. He met a lot of new people the first one was definitely the loudest one named TommyInnit. There where a lot of others but a few stuck out, especially Dream. Dream seemed like he was trying to hide something. But the other people that seemed to stick out where Technoblade who didn't seem to like him very much and Philza who he didn't think was suspicious or anything but what made him stick out was his wings, it's now out of the ordinary for people to have different odd attributes like Techno but wings where only earned in very specific way, like finding an elytra, but those weren't real wings he couldn't help but be curious. But what he did know was that he needed to stay away from the watchers and make sure that this server doesn't have the same fate as Evo.

They'd gotten out. After being stuck as gladiators in that god-forsaken arena for who knows how long, they got out. Now the only problem is staying out, but how? None of them knew which way the exit was, so they scattered. Even if not all of them made it, it would be worth it if some of them could make it out. Contains minor gore This idea floated around my head long enough I couldn't not write it, and since it came out decent, I figured I'd post it. No romance, No shipping, Essentially a backstory for if I want to write little interaction scenes. Probably won't get consistent updates, if at all, so be warned.
