Air. Water. Earth. Fire. Long ago, the air nomads lived together in harmony, and it all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. I believed it was my fault that he vanished. I ran away from the southern air temple, the only woman to ever live in the southern temple, as a young adult. This is my story.

I am.... let's say a HUGE avatar fan. I have done my own fanfic searches on multiple forums and something I've always wanted to read and could never find was a version of all three books but from purely katara's POV. I'm aware that technically the show is "told by her" but I never really got that feeling, not to mention we never understood what was going on in her head. This is what my take would be of her inner dialogue. My hope is to do a whole book purely on her POV and then another book later on of parts of their story from the pov with others. I would also add the chapter numbers that match between the two books (Idk if this makes sense but it does in my head lol) I'm planning on writing 10 chapters before I publish anything and try to do a chapter or two a week after that. Let's be honest here I've started multiple stories before and haven't finished a single one of them but this is something I've been looking for and couldn't find. Azula cares for her brother, because instead of listening to her father she researched. Or Azula is the Avatar, Aang is just an air bending kid who got trapped in ice, and while Azula doesn't understand half of the people's emotions she does her best. Or Ursa actually was a good mom to both her kids, Azula was smart enough to figure out her dad is a bitch and Zuko is clueless. No major pairing, and just hints of any that aren't the parents.

Korra has passed and the new Avatar was named. Hotaru was a simple earth bending girl who never thought she was anything, even though she was a troublemaker, but she loved her life. When a group of men come and tell her she is the Avatar and will need to leave home she is a little hesitant at first, but she knows that she must. Miles away in the Fire Nation the Fire Lord is building up the biggest army the world has ever seen. After the Earth Kings Dai Li stole an important artifact from the Fire Lord he has been thinking of a way to start a war with the Two Kingdoms.
