It didn't even matter that where Jude was all chatty, outgoing and problematic to a fault, Juno was more reserved, timid and respectful. And it certainly didn't matter that since they met on their first day in junior school, they've been some sort of academic rivals, always fighting each other for first place or being forced to share it.
