ARGUMENT
Often, the personal space we protect so fiercely-that sanctuary where we believe ourselves safe-ends up defining us. It can make us blind, even skeptical. Candela Long is the perfect example: for her, science is the only legitimate truth, and there is no room for coincidence where proven facts do not exist.
Intelligent, eloquent, and a resident of Los Angeles, Candela lives surrounded by hundreds of fictional novels in her bookstore, yet she clings to a reality free from the inexplicable. However, when an unexpected event threatens to turn her physics and her dogmas upside down, she will try to protect the only world she knows. But life rarely aligns with our plans.
Then appears Alioth Mitchell: a universe unto himself where the impossible takes shape. Before him, Candela strives to keep her skepticism intact, but colliding with a "sleeping star" who enchants you with his voice is an inevitable danger.
Can the fates align so that two such different souls do not collide? In this earthly love that defies every creed, the final choice will be the most heroic of all: learning to live or allowing oneself to die.
