It all starts with what should've been a simple recon mission. In 1998. At a science fair. Because of course it does. Sara should've known better than to let Nate and Ray near experimental quantum devices labeled "Temporal Echo Chamber - Do Not Touch." She really should have. But she blinked, they poked something, and now... now they had a six-year-old Mick Rory trying to set fire to the Waverider's kitchen because Amaya wouldn't let him have marshmallows for breakfast. Young Nate was explaining dinosaurs to Gideon with a level of confidence that suggested he'd definitely never seen one. Tiny Ray was crying because his favorite action figure was missing a leg. (It was in his pocket. Of course.) And mini Sara? Oh, she was already trying to hotwire the jump ship. Barely three feet tall and already plotting world domination. Amaya blinked. "How do you do this?" she asked Sara, voice low and honestly a little desperate. Sara, deadpan, sipping her coffee like it was the only thing keeping her from committing crimes: "I usually threaten to maroon them in the 1600s. It works surprisingly well."

This story takes place after Legends of tomorrow season five so there will be spoilers. Everyone has monsters inside them they have to conquer. Some quite literally. Sara Lance assassin, Paragon of destiny and wanna-be-god finds herself with a set of powers she neither understands nor wants at first. Then she meets Lillian Waters. A human, chosen by an ancient dragon who struggles as the dragon is not herself inside her. Together they fight their way through aliens while finding the meaning of their power and how to control them. They teach each other that destiny is not set in stone and that they can always find a way towards forgiveness. I do not own any of the original LOT characters (like Sara Lance, Ava Sharpe, etc.) Or the original idea for the time-travel. I do own the Alien species named Cornsen and the AI agency along with anyone working there.

While Rory's wife Amy is searching for him with the Doctor, they come across an unconscious man in a long brown duster.

What if... ...Barry Allen, after the murder of his mother, wouldn't have been placed with Joe and therefore never become a forensic scientist and therefore wouldn't fight against crime with the team of S.T.A.R. Labs, as Flash? Just a small detail that went differently, but with big implications.... And the only one who knows that something is wrong with this timeline is Leonard Snart, who was thrown into this screwed-up reality after the explosion of the "Vanishing Point" and the time vortex it created.
