Almost seventeen years before Clary Fairchild came into everyone's lives, a young girl around one year old showed up on the steps of the New York Institute. There was no explanation for who she was or where she'd come from. Just a sleeping girl wrapped in a blanket with a necklace and the clothes on her back. She was taken in by the Lightwood family, and over time she became one of the best in the institute. After a while, everyone gave up on finding answers about her family, even the girl herself. But once Clary Fairchild showed up, weird things started happening to her. Things that may explain where she came from. Three Thousand Three Hundred is the year. The solar system has been tamed by the commercial beast and humanity has successfully expanded to the edges of the solar system, having residences on each solid celestial body. A UN Representative in Trent, Europa, one of Jupiter's moons, Alex Wayland is called to a conference on Ganymede to discuss the upcoming military excursion. He knew the rumors but until the conference he had no idea that a ship was already prepped and the 110th Space Battalion, or Spaceboys, are already trained and ready to go. A nervous Alex Wayland opposes this, but ends up being sent with them so that at least one "bureaucrat" was present on the ship. The top of the line cruiser, known as the ATLAS, armed to the teeth with weaponry and scientific equipment takes off on the first manned flight outside the solar system. Over the course of three years sedated by chemicals and on life support, the battalion makes it alright to the solar system where the star Proxima Centauri stands sentinel to its planets. The largest one they chose for their first destination turns out to be their last for the mission. Touching down on the planet known as Babylon the recon squadron makes contact with the first intelligent life forms, the first life being the trees on its surface. The friendly life forms talk of a prophecy, one where there long lost human allies would return anew and aid them in the fighting off of a powerful enemy. An enemy not just bent on felling Babylon, but also humanity.

Elizabeth Borden lives in New York city floating in between houses of her foster mother and her teacher Magnus Bane. Being a Warlock in the human world can be hard when your eyes look like living, blue fire and using a glamour all the time. It gets even harder when your best and only friend shows up with four Shadowhunters and a vampire to ask your help to preform an intensely energy-draining spell on your birthday. It's only one spell right? (Elizabeth, other characters I add, and every scene that differs from the book belongs to me, but everything else belongs to Cassandra Clare. I am using the book for a basis with the scenes with Cassandra's characters so that's why things may be very similar to what she has written.)
