Set in Christmas break between everyone leaving and Simon going to the Pitch-Grimm mansion. Simon decides to take advantage of being alone in his room to masturbate. But cant help thinking of Baz. Basically foreshadowing for what happens when Baz tries to kill himself in the woods.

This is a post Wayward Son fanfic building straight off the ending of the book.(so if you haven't yet read Wayward Son this story will confuse you I'm sorry!) It ties back to Carry On as it shows the journey of Simon finding out who his parent are (yes! finally!), Simon and Baz rebuilding their relationship after the depressing mess they were in Wayward Son (no hate yall just facts), and Penelope growing out of the familiar place she was in with Micha. The story is supposed to be over. Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after... So why can't Simon Snow get off the couch? What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. He just needs to see himself in a new light... That's how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost. They get so lost, they start to wonder whether they ever knew where they were headed in the first place . . .

For all Simon Snow fans that want a little bit extra before we get that third book. I hope that you like what my way of settling it, even if it's not as good as Rainbow's. (No way is as good as Rainbow's, she is the all mighty and they all came from her heart her ending is the only real ending.) But either way, I hope you enjoy mine! And yes, the title is from the song too, in case you were wondering. (I know you probably weren't, but.) Description time!!!⬇️ • The gang has survived shotguns, normals and more vampires in America, and now it's time to head home. With Watford in trouble, it's only a matter of time before Simon, Baz, Penelope, Agatha and now Shepard get themselves mixed up in something else. Something in the UK is after Simon (no surprise there), but whatever it is might just be powerful enough to take out an entire town. Not only do they have to deal with that thing, but they now have to do it while following the rules of the Coven. If you had broken every single rule and put your whole way of life at risk, you'd be forced to follow the rules now too. On top of everything, Simon and Baz still have to figure out whatever's going on between them, and wether or not it's fixable, or even if it's broken at all. • THESE CHARACTERS DO NOT BELONG TO ME. This will take place after the end of Carry On, and we will pretend like Wayward Son was not a thing. Simon has moved in with Penny, and he is depressed about not having magic anymore and also killing The Mage and also because he has wings and a tail. Baz and Penny are both going to the same university, but Simon just sits on the couch all day. Agatha doesn't exist because nobody cares about her anyway. Baz wants to help Simon with his depression, so they go to the animal shelter to find a pet for him. He finds a fat old weiner dog named Randy. His owner passed away and Randy is depressed just like Simon, so they are perfect for each other. This is just a short fic with lots of fluff which takes place over the course of one day.

"Loving you is as inescapable as breathing." "Well, we all know what happens when you hold your breath." Simon holds my face in his hands and gives a quick, soft kiss to my nose. "Breathe, Baz."

"I'd tie our hearts together, chamber by chamber." Simon said that once. But even a journey across half of America isn't making the whole coming-to-terms-after-being-the-Chosen-One any easier. If anything, it's worse. All of it is. Because Simon can't hide behind a shrug, an "I don't know", or cans of cider anymore. He has to talk about what's going on in his head. **WARNING: WAYWARD SON SPOILERS**

After reading the Simon Snow series, I was left feeling some threads lose. I had some questions that I wanted Rainbow Rowell to answer and I couldn't stop craving for more SnowBaz. So this is my attempt to give them an ending I wished in the canon.
