Here, I discuss my unusual relationship with director Makoto Shinkai's work, the resulting intrigue of this film's animation, and the surprisingly applicable ideas within the director's most recent work.

The twenty-fourth entry of the 2022-2023 Film Journal is the long-waited new Makoto Shinkai film, "Suzume". Here, jumping off from my thoughts detailed in "Weathering with You" two film journals ago, I take a look at how Shinkai's latest work evokes my current opinion of him as a filmmaker.

This is the third entry of my AU multiverse series. This book is not connected to the two books I made. A 16 year old boy named Alex Arch was strucked by lightning in 2013 when he was seven, which he managed to survived from it. At 2022 he ran away from home for a unknown reason and went to Tokyo when it was in a immense rainy season. As Alex was trying to get by of earning money to take care of himself, while he was looking for jobs and managed to got one. There he met a girl named Hina.
