Sibley, a once orphan, finds herself in a new home. Immediately, things are strange as the house girl informs her of a "forbidden desk drawer." In the beginning, Sibley can't fathom what would make the contents of the drawer so important that not only is it locked, but the desk is bolted to the floor. However, after just her first night in the home Sibley quickly realizes something isn't right. Her curiosity gets the best of her and she releases the old drawer from it's long abandonment, something she soon regrets. Sibley has always seen things, but this is different. This is scary and she doesn't know how to make it stop. Sibley struggles to relate to the strange man, Ferris Wellspring, who owns the place she now calls home, but through their struggle to defeat the darkness that has plagued Ferris for so long, and now Sibley, they are able to forge a bond. A bond that until then, neither of them realized they needed.

A fanfiction that takes place shortly after the ending of Crystal Scherer's 'Tricked Into Flight' story. After the Wellsprings learn that the dragons have discovered their secret, one Wellspring seeks out a dragon living in isolation to determine if Katerina and Rakota can be trusted, only to discover a hidden secret about the dragon along the way.
