Not too long after the blood moon night at Nevermore, Wednesday takes Enid up on her offer to visit her in San Francisco for a week. After flying 3000 miles Wednesday has to spend a week with Enid and her family, but she soon finds out that they will be alone. Enids family are going on a trip.

When Enid becomes wolf to save Wednesday, it is Wednesday's turn to hunt the darkness and drag her back from the edge. But as danger coils tighter around them, something more perilous begins to stir-an unspoken love, slow and haunting, blooming between shadow and moonlight.

After Wednesday's and Enid's encounter with the Hyde and their defeat of the ancient evil brought back to life, things at Nevermore return more or less to how they used to be-yet in Enid's head, which is starting to get into Wednesday's, if you take away the 'n' in the name of their school, it's a deep personal insight that might be truly impossible... but closer than ever now.
